The Great Wave off Kanagawa on the cup is one of the 46 paintings in Katsushika Hokusai's famous ukiyo-e series Fugaku Sanjurokkei (Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji), the most widely known masterpiece in the world. Throughout his life, Hokusai painted waves as his main subject, along with Mount Fuji. Hokusai's works, which depict the ever-changing movement of water, captures the hearts of viewers even in modern times.
The cup has a capacity of approximately 280 ml when full and a natural form that fits comfortably in the hand. The atmosphere from the wave pattern, as well as the form and size of the cup, make it essentially the best match for enjoying shochu, but of course it can also be used for drinking tea or sake, or as a dipping bowl for soba noodles.

Die Große Welle vor Kanagawa auf der Tasse ist eines der 46 Gemälde aus Katsushika Hokusais berühmter Ukiyo-e-Serie Fugaku Sanjurokkei (Sechsunddreißig Ansichten des Mount Fuji), dem bekanntesten Meisterwerk der Welt. Zeit seines Lebens malte Hokusai neben dem Berg Fuji auch Wellen als Hauptmotiv. Hokusais Werke, die die sich ständig verändernde Bewegung des Wassers darstellen, fesseln die Herzen der Betrachter auch in der heutigen Zeit.
Die Tasse hat ein Fassungsvermögen von ca. 280 ml beim Voll und eine natürliche Form, die gut in der Hand liegt.
